GARDEN OF LOVE, curated by Guillaume Logé, is an exhibition that explores the concept of love in relation to nature. The show draws inspiration from Logé's forthcoming book of the same title and spans various historical periods and cultures, from ancient arts to contemporary creations. It features works by André Bauchant, Pierre Bonnard, Max Ernst, Fernand Léger, Maria Helena Vieira da Silva, Yang Jiechang, and many others, as well as pieces from the Vincennes Manufactory and antique books.
The exhibition proposes that the fulfillment of love requires an expansion beyond exclusively human relationships to embrace nature as a partner. It suggests a shift from Homo sapiens to Homo amorosus, a being defined by an innate capacity for love. Central to the exhibition is Yang Jiechang's monumental work, Tale of the Eleventh Day – Red Autumn. The show also includes a conversation between Véronique Jaeger and Guillaume Logé.
